I have camped on the Buffalo years ago. Not too far away, I am in TN. Havent done any camping since November, I am ready to get back into it, now that you mention it. Will be hitting several AR parks this year, as we usually do.

I have never been out west, would love to go but always have been here on the east coast. The only river rafting we have around here is at the Nantahala Valey River gorge in NC and TN. It is beautiful there.

Sounds like a really beautiful time of year. It would be cool to see some of hte pictures.

The best fall color I’ve ever seen was in the Southern Indiana / Kentucky area. Utah also has good color as well but doesn’t have as many trees.

Lets face it…accidents happen. You DON’T want to get caught out somewhere without water. Many water filters are relatively inexpensive, easy to pack and don’t weigh a lot. We have one that we keep tucked away in our vehicle for emergencies.

Be safe and enjoy the beautiful outdoors when you can. August in Arkansas is definitely one of those months when indoor activities are generally preferred because of the heat and high humidity. If you do get out, think ahead and pack for accordingly and you should be fine.
