Don’t Get Caught Without Clean Drinking Water

It’s one thing to take off on your next hiking or camping trip and forget your Grey Poupon. It’s quite another to be stuck somewhere without clean drinking water!

The Buffalo River area has lots of small, clear running streams where you can refill your canteen “if” the weather has been cooperating. But this time of year, (mid-August), chances are that you’re not going to find a lot of water running. If you’re hiking, camping, floating or horseback riding, it’s important to be sure you have plenty of fresh, clean drinking water. As hot as the weather has been recently, it’s easy to become dehydrated “very” quickly. And even though you might have enough drinking water to get you through your planned trip, it’s always good to prepare for the worst by either bringing your own water filter or water purification tablets.

Lets face it…accidents happen. You DON’T want to get caught out somewhere without water. Many water filters are relatively inexpensive, easy to pack and don’t weigh a lot. We have one that we keep tucked away in our vehicle for emergencies.

Be safe and enjoy the beautiful outdoors when you can. August in Arkansas is definitely one of those months when indoor activities are generally preferred because of the heat and high humidity. If you do get out, think ahead and pack for accordingly and you should be fine.

I like your theme, its pretty simple yet works for your site. I usually think 3 columns can get kind of cluttered, but you have done a good job of keeping it clean looking

I strongly agree with you. People nowadays always forget the importance of water to our health. Actually our bodies 70% is consisted of water. So no matter where we are, we just need to make sure that our drinking water is clean enough.

The proper and clean water is to filter it first, then boil again. Drink at least 8 glass of water everyday. There an article i read on internet, it mention about drinking 4 bottle of 1.5 litter water will avoid us from any disease or sick. It is most recommend way by doctors. Well drink more better than less.

Having a water purifier when outdoors is very important, straight drinking from the river without filtering or boiling can prove fatal at times, as microscopic bacteria maybe in the water without you even knowing it. Having a water purifying pill which you can dissolve in the water can be of a good choice too.

Yes, it is better to be prepared with water than feeling sorry when you can’t find any on your trip.
